Job transitions can be difficult, but they are also important because they are the bridge between what we were doing and what we are going to do. But what happens at that moment is critical to creating your next advancement opportunity.
In this week’s video, I share a story about a singer, Alison Jiear. I share my thoughts on her audition from 2015 on Britain’s Got Talent. Her music inspires me and moves me. She auditioned and knocked it out of the park! And her audition couldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the thirty-year career she had working as a backing vocalist, singing commercial jingles, and working at making a name for herself. She’s amazing, and you can watch her audition here.
When we create our next advancement opportunity, we do so when we acknowledge and leverage the totality of our experiences. Listen as I share some thoughts about why creating that next advancement opportunity means so much to me and the work I do with my one-on-one clients.
